Maddie – Maddog – Mads – Punkin’ Pie: She was one of a kind. Dumped and left to fend for herself at 5 weeks old, she was flea & tick infested with a bad case of mange. Most anyone would have cast her aside. She was taken in and given a place in the family. She assumed it was the place of alpha female, much to the aggravation of her Momma(s). All along, she was her Poppa’s girl. She was strong, intelligent, hard-headed and loving (on her terms). This resulted in 14.5 years of fun, frustration, laughs, tears, and unending love. She had an amazing life and three loving caregivers. Unfortunately, her old hips couldn’t keep up with her young heart. She left us on 12/15/08 and our house seems quiet and empty without her. We’re sure she’s giving the angels fits and chewing on the Pearly Gates. We’re surprised they haven’t sent her back. See you soon, old girl.

My deepest condolences to the family of Buster Kerns who passed away on May 23, 2008.
Buster will be sadly missed by his "Mom and Dad", and a "sister", Brittany, who continues her own struggle with serious health problems. It was a privilege to have been invited to portray both Buster and Brittany. My heartfelt thoughts and prayers for Bill, Julie & Brittany at losing Buster so unexpectedly.
